Spring/Summer 2012 Bridal Season

I get dreamily lost in all of the lovely wedding inspiration everywhere I look. Bridal designers have sent their collections down the runway, millinery artists have put their finishing touches on delicate head adornments, and veils are no longer just pieces of tulle; they’ve evolved into exquisite heirlooms. I’ve noticed that even when a bride does choose to sell her gown, she will more often than not keep her veil and headpiece in loving anticipation of passing it on to her daughter one day.

It is, to say the least, difficult to narrow down a favourite designer let alone a favourite dress. Each season, I am completely captivated by the headpieces, the veils and of course, the gowns.

I have posted some of my favourite dresses of this season. thus far. (Note: the absence of Priscilla of Boston {Melissa Sweet, Vineyard, etc.} has left a whole in heart). Here is a bit of bridal eye candy to fall in love with!

Designed by Francesca Pitera, Jim Hjelm features gowns that satisfy the most discerning bride. Jim Hjelm is known for unique detailing and combining luxurious fabrics with delicate embroidery.  Francesca feels these details are important because they “add unique and special touch to the gowns.” The Jim Hjelm collection is diverse; ranging from gowns made of vintage-inspired fabrics to modern silhouettes, all with gorgeous details that make the gowns a joy to wear.
