The wedding industry has changed irrevocably for better and for always. Vera Wang and Amsale Aberrarra were both inspired to create looks that suited their taste for understated elegance for their own weddings. These ladies made gowns that were elegantly understated and classic when everything else was sort of over the top and literal.
Of course this trend continues with wedding cakes. The design and execution of a beautiful cake could perhaps be compared to the construction of a bridal gown. Gone are the days when a wedding cake commonly included a bridge and a fountain, today’s cakes are clean, elegant and classic.
